Our Gazelle eBikes

How to choose an E bike?

With so many options available it can seem bewildering, but ultimately there are two factors to consider: how reliable is the bike I am buying and how easy is it to maintain my bike once I've bought it?

Nothing can match the reliability and ease of maintenance available with our Gazelle E bike range.

Many currently available E bikes are simply modified versions of standard machines with inferior equipment and components that aren't suitable for the long haul and cannot be fixed once broken - we see them here in the shop all the time.

Only with a Gazelle E bike can you benefit from a machine that has been designed from the ground up as an electric bike and comes equipped with the expertise of Bosch's E bike transmission system, a system that is rapidly becoming the industry standard for reliability and ease of use.

Alternatively if you wish to have a fully automated experience Shimano's Steps system will enable you to have automatic shifting as well, while the Nuvinci Enviolo gearing available on some models dispenses with 'gears' altogether with its shiftless twist-grip gearing - just twist the grip and change the gear to suit.

Simply adjust your power setting via a controller on the handlebars and off you go. Assistance varies accordingly.

Most models come equipped with a 300 watt hour battery. For extra range 400 and 500 watt hour batteries are available. Some come with the 500 as standard, usually inside the bike's frame.
