Description	The folding pedal is now standard on all Brompton bikes apart from the basic C-type model. Until it became standard, this was by far our most popular add-on accessory. Although it is an expensive item one can see where the value lies. A standard left-hand pedal (unless unscrewed from the machine for storage) projects about 3" (75mm)from the folded package. For many users this may not be a problem, but if you regularly carry the machine or stow it in confined spaces, it can be a nuisance. The folding pedal folds away at a touch, and when folded all that projects is the 20 mm width of the bearing housing. The combination of a sealed precision bearing, a sound configuration and the right materials, gives great strength, and the pedal is unaffected by scuffing against curbs etc., which inevitably occur on occasions. Unlike most other folding pedals, both sides of the pedal may be used, just like an ordinary pedal.
